Rochardfollows the story of the humble astro-miner John Rochard. John and hismining team accidently discover an ancient structure hidden deep in anasteroid, thus proving mankind isnt alone in the universe. Soon after,his team goes missing without a trace and John finds himself stranded onthe asteroid. To make matters worse, space pirates attack the mine, andJohn quickly realizes there are surprising and dangerous forces atwork, determined to use the mysterious discovery for their own sinistermeans and eliminate John and his friends along the way. Using only hiswits, everyday mining tools and a healthy dose of sarcasm, John mustfend off the pirates, save his team and solve the mystery behind hisdiscovery.
The game tests players coordination and wits as they usegravity to their advantage, changing it at will to solve environmentalpuzzles and advance through each level. By using the upgradableG-Lifter, the main tool of the game, players can lift and maneuver heavyobjects around the environment, and can eventually swing, jump andpropel themselves huge distances throughout each level.
