NikonCapture NX is a full-scale digital-image processing and editingsoftware application for digital photographers, descended from NikonCapture.

Capture NX now provides:

Powerful UPointTM technology powered Color Control Points that enable the user todirectly enhance the image selectively, without the use of masks,selections, or layers.
Continued ability to apply every toolnon-destructively (Requires the user to save their image with NEF.Original file can be JPEG, TIFF, or NEF). Selective tools such as theSelection Brush and Selection Gradient that can be used to selectivelyapply any of the enhancements.
25 new tools and enhancements, rangingfrom the Black, White, and Neutral Control Point tools that enable theuser to remove color casts and set their images dynamic range, to theDistortion Correction enhancement that enables the user to reduce barreland pincushion type distortions in their images.

Whats New
Version 2.3.0:

Anissue that prevented application of Auto Distortion in theDevelop>Camera & Lens Corrections section of the Edit Listpalette to images captured with the combination of a Nikon 1 V1 or Nikon1 J1 camera with A and B firmware version 1.10 installed and a 1 NIKKORlens has been resolved.
Lens information is now displayed in theMetadata palette for images captured with the Nikon 1 V1 or Nikon 1 J1using the Mount Adapter FT1 and a CPU lens.
Support for images captured with the Nikon 1 V1 and Nikon 1 J1 using the Mount Adapter FT1 has been added.
AnAstro Noise Reduction option has been added to Noise Reduction in theCamera Settings portion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette.This option reduces the randomly spaced bright pixels that occur inimages of stars captured with long exposures.
An Auto2 option hasbeen added to New WB under White Balance in the Camera Settings portionof the Develop section in the Edit List palette. This option isavailable with RAW images taken with the COOLPIX P7100.
When whitebalance is changed to Auto2 and a settings file saved, a white balancesetting of Recorded Value will be applied if the settings file is usedon a RAW image that does not support the Auto2 white balance setting.
WhenSet Gray Point was selected from White Balance in the Camera Settingsportion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette, and the imageclicked to specify a portion to use as the gray point, the pointselected was sometimes not accurately reflected in the resulting whitebalance if the image had first been rotated. This issue has beenresolved.
